Andrew Wheating’s unlikely journey: From obscurity to Oregon to Olympics

WEST LEBANON, N.H. -- In a couple of weeks, Andrew Wheating will compete in the Olympic Trials in Eugene, attempting to make the U.S. team for the second time, running either the 800 or the 1500 with an eye on London, hoping to medal.

Dave Faucher will be watching from here, in his living room, feeling at least partly responsible.

"I don't know what would have happened if I didn't make the call," he said. "I really don't know."
