Olympic silver medalist Leo Manzano visits Daniel Boone runners

Trailblazers won the Hoka Postal 2-Mile Championship this past fall and Leo Manzano was there to congratulate them personally.

“Boy, it would be nice if we had an Olympic silver medalist around to pace us on this 400 ... ” joked Daniel Boone High School standout Miler Adam Barnard in the middle of his workout Tuesday night at the school’s track.

And, what do you know, there was a person who was the runner-up in the 1500-meter run of the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Leo Manzano, sponsored by the shoe company Hoka One One, was in attendance for the practice because the Boone team had won the Hoka Postal 2-Mile Championship this past fall and the multiple U.S. champion was there to congratulate the Trailblazers personally.
