An already stellar junior year got even better for Everest Crawford at the Division 1 State Track & Field Championships Sunday at Andover High School.

The Fishermen distance and middle distance ace came into the meet with a top 10 finish at the cross country all state meet in the fall and the New England indoor 800m championship already in his pocket; and after Sunday’s races Crawford can now add the Division 1 Mile championship to his list of hardware.

Crawford topped the next best competitor by just over three seconds with a time of 4 minutes, 20.67 seconds and now moves on to the Massachusetts All State Meet on Saturday in Bridgewater, he will enter the meet at the top seed in the Mile as Sunday’s time was the best Mile time amongst all of the weekend’s state meets.
