Colin Sahlman, a rising, young star as a NAU sophomore, won the 1500 at the 2024 Bryan Clay Invitational, clocking 3:33.96, the second fastest 1500m in NCAA history, and in February, ran a 3:53.17 personal record to win the Mile at the John Thomas Terrier Classic in Boston (indoors).

In high school, he recorded two sub-4 minute Mile times, 3:56.24 outdoors (third fastest U.S. prep) and 3:58.81 indoors and was also a member of the Newbury Park team that shattered the high school 4 x Mile record, running collectively 16:29.31 (4:07 per mile). For his stellar senior year, he won the 2022 Gatorade Player of the Year both overall and in cross country.

FUN FACT: His younger brother Aaron has run a 4:00.30 Mile.
